About the role

The Ron Joyce Centre for Business Studies/Commerce Department at Mount Allison University invites applications for a part-time stipendiary appointment for the Winter 2022 term to teach a three-credit course: COMM 3121 Intermediate Accounting II.

The course examines topics relating to shareholders' equity, dilutive securities, investments, and a series of special topics such as corporate income taxes, pension costs, leases, and accounting changes and error analysis. (Format: Case Discussion/Lecture/Experiential Learning)

The course is scheduled on Monday and Wednesday at 1:30pm – 2:50pm during the winter academic term. Although the course is scheduled as an in-person class on the Sackville campus, the possibility of delivering the course synchronously online may be considered.


  • Ph.D. in Business or an MBA, or related field, or CPA designation
  • Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level
