About the role

• Work under a veteran, mentoring CFO;
• Staff of two part-timers;
• Full accounting responsibilities, four legal entities;
• Some small company systems innovation expected, Quickbooks optimization or replacement, including integration with other systems;
• Budget, forecasting, dashboard preparation;
• Payroll, banking and treasury responsibilities;
• Some admin and light HR responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation;
• At least three years of controllership or senior financial experience, preferably in a smaller company, where all round skills are required, including staff supervision;
• Accounting firm experience would be an asset as well;
• Strong Excel skills;
• Multi-currency experience preferred;
• Strong spoken and written English;
• Written French skills preferred, but not essential;
• Experience with financial and cost accounting, general ledger, financial statement preparation, budgeting and internal controls, as well as corporate income taxation;
• The ideal candidate will be seeking a single part-time controller position, rather than be holding several such positions.
