About Food Depot Alimentaire (FDA)
FDA is the official affiliate of Food Banks Canada in New Brunswick.
Our vision is to live in a hunger-free New Brunswick.
We support 65-member food banks and community kitchens along with over 100 other food security organisations across the province, we distribute close to $20 million worth of food annually to those organisations, and we also distribute food to support breakfast programs in 135 schools.
About the opportunity
FDA is looking for an individual with a CPA designation, who’s passionate about food security, to join our board of directors to step in the role of Treasurer.
Anticipated time commitment
- Board meetings: 4 - 6 meetings annually, 3 hours per meeting, in-person or virtually.
- Finance committee: 2-3 meetings to help review annual budget, with staff, prior to board approval. Quarterly committee meeting as needed.
- Other: 4-6 hours monthly - Check-ins with Executive Director and Financial Administrators to ensure financial oversight, sign cheques, meet with financial auditors, emails, input on various items, etc.
