CPA New Brunswick has partnered with the Canada Revenue Agency for the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP)!
Volunteers help Canadians who have low income and a simple tax situation prepare their income tax return.
We want to help!
CPAs from across New Brunswick are volunteering their time to contribute their professional expertise to help prepare 2022 income taxes for those in need. CPAs will receive all documentation electronically and conduct these meetings virtually.
Eligible applicants (see link to the criteria below) will be matched with CPA volunteers so that they may process and file returns online before the April 30, 2023, tax deadline.
To ensure all returns will be ready in time to the meet this deadline, the program will be accepting applications on a first-come, first served basis until Friday, March 31, 2023 at 4:00 pm, or until all available slots have been filled.
About free tax clinics
A free tax clinic is a place where eligible people can get their tax returns done for free. These clinics are hosted by community organizations across Canada through the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program.
Please note that these will be available by appointment only, and they will be conducted virtually via the method mutually-agreed upon by both parties. Appointments will be made on a first-come, first-served basis; or until all available slots are filled. Volunteers will try to reach you twice, and then your name will be removed from the list if you do not return their messages.
