Are you considering a payday loan? Check before you borrow.

Payday lenders must be licensed by the Financial and Consumer Services Commission (FCNB) to offer loans in New Brunswick, even if they only operate online.

FCNB has received complaints from consumers about unlicensed, online payday lenders. Making sure a payday lender is licensed ensures they are subject to New Brunswick’s consumer protection laws.

Check licensing and find out more about your rights and the financial implications of payday loans at fcnb.ca.
